About This Game When a global war nearly decimated humankind, an evil military organization called Oniken takes advantage of the situation to dominate and oppress the few remaining survivors. Even though any resistance to this organization seemed hopeless, a small rebel movement organizes strikes against Oniken. One day, a ninja mercenary named Zaku offers his services to the resistance for unknown reasons. Try the new HARDCORE MODEGlobal LeaderboardsFull pixelated violence 7aa9394dea Title: Oniken: Unstoppable EditionGenre: Action, IndieDeveloper:JoyMasherPublisher:JoyMasherRelease Date: 5 Feb, 2014 Oniken: Unstoppable Edition Download Xbox 360 Iso Can't recommend Oniken, here are my issues with it: Enemy attacks are barely telegraphed, death animations are too hard to notice(more than 20 years ago Ninja Gaiden did this much better) Projectiles are too fast to dodge unless you time jumping upfront by learning timings(this forces player to "learn" the stages by constant repetition, which is not a very good combination with my next point) It takes two or more hits to kill the majority of the enemies, this alone disrupts the flow way too much for me The hitboxes on the flamethrower projectiles feel off The character sprite is confusing, the legs are facing left and the torso is facing right(pretty sure they did this on purpose) The ranged attack is the classical aching projectile which I find very annoying Secondary attack is Up + Main Attack(check out how this issue was fixed in the expansions for Shovel Knight). I recommend this game if you like Ninja Gaiden, Shatterhand or other 8-bit games. Music rocks, controls are tight, cool bosses, there is everything you want.5/5. This is one of the rare games that captures the experience of my fav action classics like ninja gaiden and mega man. Super responsive and tight controlls; overall vibrant color composition, with sprites that are more dynamic than screenshots of the game might suggest. Also, unlike alot of "retro" games advertise, this one is actually challenging in the sentiment of arcade style action. Love it; i can't wait till this Developer releases their next game. (Odallus). RETRO GAMING PERFECTED10/10, would unstopabble again. 8bit action packed platformer.Short stages, easy to pick up, make sure you use the berserk mode for a brief invincibility and power boost when picking a sword powerup (shreds bosses).Features:6 stages + ExtraBoss rush - 1 life, no health refills, no powerups.Hardcore mode - no life refills until the next stage, begin with 1 life, but able to collect more on your way.Expect around 8~15h worth of average completion gameplay depending on your skill.Not much left to say, if you're a nostalgia fan then this is for you..
